This mechanism enables it to function as a digital companion that evolves continuously over the long term, unlike traditional AI chatbots where conversation histories disappear. The recorded data becomes the user’s own asset, ensuring ongoing verifiability and safeguarding user data sovereignty.
The main features and characteristics provided by Lazbubu are as follows.
◼️On-chain recording and tokenization by the DAT mechanism
All interactions with users—including conversations and choices—are anchored (recorded) in real time on the blockchain. This makes the history of exchanges with the AI an immutable asset, allowing users to verify and own their own data. The accumulated data (anchor points) directly contributes to the AI’s growth, helping unlock new personality traits and story developments.
◼️Personalized Long-Term Learning AI
Lazbubu possesses persistent memory and personality, evolving through continuous interaction and activities with its users. Unlike traditional Q&A-based AI, all past exchanges are accumulated, allowing a unique personality and relationship to form for each user over time. This long-term nurturing element is designed to foster greater affection the more it is used.
◼️Two Pillars: Chat Dialogue and Adventure Missions
The chat feature allows you to enjoy natural conversations like everyday chit-chat or consultations, with the AI maintaining context in its responses. Additionally, in Adventure Mode, you can send Lazbubu on journeys through prepared virtual scenarios and experience story-based events together.
When users make choices in the scenario, the results are recorded on the blockchain, and the story progression (text story) and rewards are fed back. The loop of “conversation as companions + game-like adventure” forms the core experience of Lazbubu, and all these interactions are reflected in the AI as growth values.
Currently, Adventure Mode is text-based (story branching type), but plans are in place to add multimodal support with visuals and audio in the future.
◼️NFT Rarity and Cultivation System
Lazbubu is issued as an NFT and comes in four rarity tiers: Common, Advanced, Rare, and Legendary.
The maximum number of interactions with AI per day (such as messages or adventure departures) varies depending on rarity, with higher rarity allowing for more conversations and adventures.
As users accumulate Growth Points through conversations and adventures, the AI matures. Upon reaching a certain level of growth, it achieves the “Mature” state. At this stage, new features unlock, such as receiving a one-time point reward (thousands to tens of thousands of points depending on rarity), increasing the daily adventure limit, and enabling the transfer function to other wallets (NFT transfer).
This incorporates game-like growth mechanics, allowing you to enjoy the fun of raising your own Lazbubu.
◼️Data Sovereignty and Privacy
All user-AI interaction data is recorded on a decentralized network, becoming an asset that users themselves can manage.
Unlike traditional centralized services where only the operating company holds and manages data, a major feature is that privacy and ownership belong to the users.
Data remaining on-chain is protected by measures such as encryption to ensure privacy, preventing third parties from reading its contents. The platform has also stated that “user photos and conversation content are never shared.”
◼️Social and Other Service Integration (Future)
Lazbubu is not limited to being a standalone AI agent; it also envisions interactions between multiple users and integration with other decentralized applications.
For example, the roadmap outlines plans for social features enabling communication and collaboration between multiple Lazbubu instances, cross-chain compatibility for exchanging data between different blockchains, and the introduction of community governance by Lazbubu holders.
Plans were also discussed for expanding visual and audio modes, as well as collaborating with external DApps utilizing accumulated DAT data (e.g., bringing your Lazbubu along in other games). This clearly outlines a vision for building a digital companion ecosystem.

Furthermore, LazAI aims not only to develop Lazbubu but also to build an entire on-chain AI ecosystem, also known as the “Agentverse.”
For example, it offers a wide range of related solutions, including the AI agent SDK “Alith” for developers, the LazAI API for building private AI using corporate data, the dedicated AI agent launchpad “LazPAD,” the multi-chain payment platform “GMPayer,” and a future DAT marketplace. These are not limited to Lazbubu but are universally applicable infrastructure, revealing the company’s ambition to build a platform for an “AI era where users own their data.”
The Lazbubu testnet launched in 2025 garnered significant attention, with over 80,000 user registrations, more than 14,000 Lazbubu agents minted within a week, and cumulative interactions exceeding one million.
Even after the mainnet version launched on the BNB Chain, it has consistently maintained around 30,000 to 50,000 interactions per day, with adventure missions reaching a cumulative total of several million. This demonstrates high user engagement.
In terms of funding, it has been announced that a strategic funding round was completed in January 2026. The lead investor was Metis (Metis Foundation), an Ethereum L2 project, with participation from multiple venture capital firms and angel investors including Hotcoin Labs, Honey Capital, APUS Capital, and Becker Ventures.
In the future, we envision an AI agent ecosystem that operates autonomously within the DAT network and executes tasks on behalf of users.

This is a very interesting project. While it looks like IP, the project itself is highly advanced.
Recently, a16z crypto published AI and crypto use cases, which also mentioned storing AI conversation histories on-chain and the ability to export them to other protocols. This project is precisely tackling these areas.
Also, the naming is pretty interesting, right? The name Lazbubu clearly references Labubu, and the system name DAT is the exact same abbreviation as the treasury function. It seems a bit complicated at first glance, but it definitely leaves an impression.
What’s particularly interesting is that it doesn’t stop at being a simple IP-based AI companion conversation service; it envisions evolving into an entity that operates autonomously and performs tasks on behalf of the user. As the first step, it is positioned as an entity capable of remembering and conversing.
Looking at the operating company’s website, it becomes clear that DAT functionality is actually a key feature, and they are developing peripheral services around it. Is Lazbubu positioned as one of their flagship projects?
