Conversations can be held within the community like Discord or Telegram.
Good morning.
This is mitsui from web3researcher.
Today I researched "Gamic".
🟡What is Gamic?
💧Fundraising and launching token air drops
💬It's important to have access to local community, even if it's web3
🟡What is Gamic?
Gamic" is a community messaging applicationideal for web3, allowing you to conduct conversations within your community like Discord or Telegram.
Let's take a look at how it works.
①Wallet
Simply register for an account and a wallet will be created. The wallet is an MPC wallet, which means it is safe and secure. You can also connect to Dapps with Wallet Connect.
②Community
It is a feature that allows you to manage your community, allowing chat communication, DM, and video conferencing in the Channels & Rooms category.
③Airdrop
You can easily distribute tokens and digital assets to the spaces you operate and reward the community. I personally found this feature to be the most unique and user-friendly.
④Rewards
Earn GG Rewards by completing tasks such as logging in and talking on the app.
Other features such as AI-based chatbot functions are also planned.
💧Fundraising was conducted and token airdrops were initiated
Gamic was launched in 2022 and has been used primarily by web3, gaming and creators in the African region. The African web3 industry consists of a burgeoning ecosystem of startups, projects and initiatives, all working to disrupt the industry and disperse opportunities to create a more equitable digital future for Africa.
Nine months after its release, Gamic has registered more than 2 million signups to the more than 2,000 communities created within the app.
From there, the company continued to grow and in May 2024, completed a $1.8M funding round from Binance Labs,Fundamental Labs,Polygon Ventures,Gate.io,Mapleblock,Mulana,Double Peak Group,Momentum6,DWeb3and others. The company has completed funding of $1.8M from Double Peak Group, Momentum6, DWeb3, and others.
And the airdrop of "Gamic" tokens started in May 2024. GG points that have been accumulated as rewards in the ecosystem will finally be converted into tokens.
GG Points can be earned through in-app activity, referrals, and social networking activities. Points are calculated and updated every 7 days.
There is no specific end date specified, but if you are interested in using the system from now on, please DL and use it to earn points. Both Wallet Connect and SNS account login are available.
💬Access to local community is important, even with web3
The last is a consideration.
Gamic" has a clean UI, and its natively generated wallet and airdrop function seem more convenient for managing a web3 community than Discord or Telegram.
Frankly, I didn't know about it until I did my research, but I found that it is gaining a certain amount of momentum, especially in Africa.
It is said that the web3 is basically open to the global community, but I felt that it is very important to connect to the local community. As with information on the Internet, just because anyone can access it does not mean that everyone can find it.
Including social graphs, local communities, social networking sites and real advertisements, etc., information in the immediate vicinity rooted in locali is still the most likely to catch their attention. There is also a language barrier, so information in the native language will penetrate with greater speed.
In addition, products with a business-to-business element, such as community tools, are expanding through sales, so they are also expanding locally.
What I am trying to say is that "even with web3, it is important to attack locally" and "a land-focused entry strategy is effective.
Even if you are making the same kind of product, just by changing the location, people will perceive it as a completely new product, and by gaining a certain market share there, you may be able to gain the foundation to compete on a global scale.
And although we usually tend to unconsciously think of the U.S. with the word "global," I felt that we should be aware of all countries in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, etc. Considering this, it may be better not to use the word "global" in general. It is better to select specific place names so that the management strategy will be clearer.
The discussion diverged a bit, but it was an opportunity to consider the importance of the community in the web3 project.
This is the research for "Gamic"!
