Will social trading catch on?
Good morning.
I’m Mitsui, a web3 researcher.
Today I researched “easy.fun”.
What is easy.fun?
Transition and Outlook
Will social trading catch on?
TL;DR
easy.fun is an on-chain cryptocurrency trading platform built on Solana and Hyperliquid, offering a full suite of core features including spot trading, futures trading, copy trading, and Earn.
Its most distinctive feature lies in gamifying and socializing trading, learning, and information sharing around the “Trading Arena”—where users compete for trading performance and rankings—and Kernel Points.
Launched in spring 2025, the platform progressed through closed beta and funding rounds before entering its current public service phase. Full-scale rollout of competitive and spectator features—including tournaments and live/voice chat—is planned for the future.
What is easy.fun?
“easy.fun” is an on-chain cryptocurrency trading platform built on Solana and Hyperliquid.
In addition to basic functions like spot trading and futures trading, it features a “Trading Arena” concept where users compete against each other for trading performance and rankings, providing a game-like trading experience.
◼️Key Features
Wallet
You can create a wallet with one tap using your Google or Apple account.
The wallet screen displays common functions such as Deposit, Withdraw, Transfer, and History.
The wallet is divided into two account types: spot and futures. Spot accounts support USDC deposits on Solana, while futures accounts support USDC deposits on Arbitrum.
Spot Trading (Physical)
Spot trading is available for a wide range of tokens, from various cryptocurrencies and meme coins (such as DOGE and SHIB) on the Solana chain to major currencies like BTC, ETH, and SOL.
Additionally, synthetic assets called tokenized stocks (xStocks) that track the prices of U.S. stocks are also offered, enabling on-chain trading of selected stocks like Apple (AAPL) and Tesla (TSLA) at real-time prices.
Futures Trading (Perpetual Trading)
Linked with Hyperliquid, you can access over 100 assets, including major pairs like BTC/USDC and ETH/USDC, with up to 10x leverage.
As professional features, limit orders, take-profit/stop-loss settings (TP/SL), slippage adjustment, and MEV protection are available in both futures and spot markets via “Pro Trade” mode, enabling advanced control over order execution and position management.
Copy Trading
It features real-time copy trading functionality, enabling you to replicate other experienced traders’ trades in real time.
Users can create a “Copy Wallet” and follow top traders to automatically execute similar trades with their own funds. This enables even beginners to share advanced trading strategies, creating a system where the entire community pursues profit opportunities together.
Earn
The HLP (Hyperliquidity Provider) Vault is a passive income feature that allows users to share in a portion of the market-making revenue generated by the Hyperliquid protocol’s liquidity pools by depositing funds. By depositing USDC, users become liquidity providers on Hyperliquid and can earn returns on their funds.
Rankings & Leaderboards and Rewards
The platform features various leaderboards that visualize users’ trading performance and earned points. Notably, a ranking based on “Kernel Points” is available, where users compete for position based on their cumulative points earned through trading volume and community contributions.
Kernel Points can be earned through trading, inviting others (referrals), completing tasks such as first deposits or check-ins, posting content, and contributing to the community.
Please note that easy.fun’s transaction fees consist of a two-tier structure: the base fee from the Hyperliquid protocol plus easy.fun’s own markup. Users accumulate Kernel Points based on their activity, and their level (Lv.1 to Lv.11) increases according to the total points earned. The higher the level, the greater the discount applied to the easy.fun markup portion of the transaction fee.
Additionally, the referral system allows you to earn a portion of the transaction fees paid by users you invite.
Viber Program
In connection with the aforementioned Kernel points, easy.fun operates its own content incentive program called Viber Program.
This is a system that rewards users who share valuable information and contribute to the community on the platform (referred to as Viber) with Kernel points and future token rewards.
This system, similar to InfoFi, calculates a comprehensive score based on metrics such as content quality (originality and clarity), social influence (engagement and follower quality), and content performance (consistency and ranking frequency). This score is then converted into Kernel points.
Users can automatically earn points by creating an account and linking it to X.
This score also reflects in your Karnel Points, allowing you to benefit from the aforementioned transaction fee discounts and also qualifying you for airdrop rewards during the TGE.
Match & Tournament Design
The standout feature is the “Room” function, designed to gamify trading and make it enjoyable as a competitive activity. In the large-scale tournament format “Tournament (Official Group Battle)” hosted by the official organizers, hundreds of participants simultaneously compete in trading performance for a prize pool.
Additionally, multiple match modes are available, including “Fixed Table (Single Coin Battles)” where players test their skills by focusing on a single game, “⚔️ Heads-Up (1-on-1 Duels)” for serious 1-on-1 winner-takes-all battles, and “VIP Rooms” where players can compete with custom rules in invitation-only private rooms.
Through these rooms, you can experience trading as a thrilling competition, much like poker or e-sports.
This feature is currently in preparation and is scheduled to be released soon.
Additionally, social features such as voice chat for exchanging opinions while trading and real-time live chat are also expected to be implemented.
Transition and Outlook
The service provider for easy.fun is a corporation named Evolve Labs Inc., registered in Panama City. Based on the effective date of the Terms of Service (April 27, 2025), the project is believed to have launched around spring 2025. Team information has not been disclosed at this time.
The closed beta version was released in September 2025 via an invitation code system. It continues to operate exclusively as a mobile app, with iOS and Android applications available.
This beta version was built on the three pillars of “Freedom, Social, and Fun,” serving as an early preview before the official launch to gather user feedback and provide rewards to early adopters.
Subsequently, in December 2025, the company announced its first external funding round. On December 23, 2025, it closed a $2 million seed funding round led by Mirana Ventures.
Funds raised in this round, which also included participation from multiple angel investors, will be allocated toward product development, team expansion, and the hosting of a global trading competition.
It is now available to everyone, having transitioned from a closed beta version, and the first tournament is scheduled to be held in the near future.
Will Social Trading Gain Popularity?
Finally, we conclude with a summary and analysis.
The overall clean UX is certainly a highlight, but what’s truly intriguing is the focus on trading features with social functionality. While still in development, elements like tournaments and voice chat promise to create a new trading experience that leverages on-chain transparency.
This stems from the idea that trading is a new global sport. It solves the loneliness of traders and the difficulty of gathering information, allowing everyone to trade together in real time through tournament-style broadcasts.
It is said to have been influenced by the live experience of Pump Fun, aiming to transform that real-time nature into a competitive sport.
Personally, I find this idea quite interesting.
The reason is that experiences that trigger dopamine release have become the main trend worldwide. Short videos like TikTok are a prime example, and sports are also evolving beyond just playing or watching—people are now betting on them.
Many people seek stimulation, and real-time content holds high advertising value, so I believe trading tournaments could potentially become a new competitive sport.
In that case, while it was said that tokens with real substance, not meme coins, would be popular by 2026, there might still be demand for them. If tournaments and copy trading become popular, tokens targeted by famous traders could potentially skyrocket in value.
Personally, I predict social trading will be one of the major topics in 2026. As it spreads to the masses, institutional investors will focus on solid investments and management, but I suspect more ordinary people will aim to strike it rich through smartphone apps and engage in trading as entertainment.
First off, I’m looking forward to seeing how the inaugural tournament turns out.
That concludes our research on “easy.fun”!
