What is DappBack?
DappBack is a platform that allows web3 services to build no-code customer loyalty programs. You can customize tasks on and off the chain and design programs that increase customer engagement at will.
The beta validation involved over 70,000 users and executed over 4 million tasks. In recognition of these results, we raised $2.5 million in a seed round in April 2023.
■Functions
Usage is very simple.
Task (Task): Actions you want to prompt your customers to take
DB (DappBack) points: Points accumulated by completing Tasks
Reword (Reward): something that can be redeemed for DB points
Users earn DB points by completing the tasks set for each brand. The DB Points earned can be exchanged for either the rewards set by each brand or the rewards provided by the DB platform.
In most cases, the rewards are either NFTs, which are tickets to exclusive experiences, or FTs such as Eth.
For example, let's look at the CyberConnect example.
In addition to off-chain tasks such as visiting websites, following on Twitter, and joining Discord, there are also on-chain tasks such as creating profiles on CyberConnect and earning coins. Off-chain tasks also include quizzes about the brand, with points awarded for correct answers.
Through these actions, you can accumulate points and earn rewards.
The most important feature is the ability to combine both on-chain and off-chain tasks.
Users are asked to connect to Discord, etc. while performing tasks at the same time they connect to the wallet, and by connecting to the Web2 platform, off-chain data can also be collected, allowing points to be awarded based on actions taken.
In particular, by linking with Discord, points can be awarded for actions within Discord, making it possible to build a more enthusiastic Discord community.

The Customer Loyalty Area is Thriving
The customer loyalty space in web3 is getting very exciting.
The reason for the upsurge is partly that the web3 and customer loyalty areas are very compatible, but also because the user experience is not that different from the web2 user experience.
New user experience services take time for users to understand and get used to. For example, the staking experience in DeFi, the experience of buying NFT and joining Discord to talk and vote, the experience of creating a wallet and connecting in the first place, these new experiences are a bit difficult and take time to understand.
On the other hand, the customer loyalty experience (where you are rewarded for a specific action) is still already experienced. It is an experience like accumulating loyalty cards to win prizes or entering a drawing.
So whether or not the blockchain is behind it is not really relevant, and the benefit is that it is easy for users to use. Starbucks' loyalty program actually utilizes blockchain, but they do not require or communicate that understanding to their users.
As services are starting to emerge little by little in Japan, web3 may be a mass adoption from this area. We will continue to do research!
