Good morning.
I’m Mitsui, a web3 researcher.

Today is research on “Bond.”

What is Bond?
Transition and Outlook
The line between speculation and support is a tricky one.

TL;DR

  • Bond is a new on-chain support platform that enables fans to support creators without losing money through “refundable one-time support,” while creators earn revenue from the interest generated by investing those funds.

  • Royal pivoted to Bond after V1 (music NFTs) and V2 (AI music provenance), learning that its essence lies not in speculation or ownership, but in “participation and connection.”

  • Bond aims to eliminate speculative and securities risks, focusing instead on trust, recognition, and long-term relationships. It envisions expanding beyond music into all creative fields.

What is Bond?

“Bond” is a new support platform that connects creators and fans directly.

Fans can access special experiences offered by creators by “bonding” a fixed amount of funds to them. Bonded funds are a one-time deposit, and fans can withdraw their principal anytime (refundable). This feature allows support with no substantial cost burden, unlike traditional tips or subscriptions.

The service works as follows:

Fan-supported deposits

Fans can bond any amount starting from at least $1 to creators just once. Bonds are one-time deposits, not recurring payments, and membership remains active afterward.

Fans can withdraw their bonded principal at any time. They can request a refund of deposited funds as needed and may discontinue their support for creators. This system offers fans a low-risk way to support creators, leaving only a strong connection between them.

Joining the “Inner Circle” and Benefits

Fans who bond funds join a special group called the creator’s “Inner Circle.” Creators can offer Inner Circle members perks such as access to dedicated group chats, viewing of exclusive content, file sharing, and placement on bond amount rankings.
