Backroom is an InfoFi platform that uses AI to extract and summarize valuable information (alpha information) from private chats and provide it in real-time in a tokenized information room called "Room".
Users purchase "Key" NFTs to access Room and receive market insights and trading signals with noise removed by AI agents.
Keys can be bought and sold on-chain as NFTs, with prices fluctuating based on demand, and creators receive an initial allocation, secondary distribution fee, and $ROOM token reward.
The keystone token $ROOM serves as the settlement currency for all functions, including Key purchase, transactions, and reward payments, enabling a mechanism to distribute information access rights as financial assets to the market.
🔑What is Backroom?
Backroom" is a platform where AI collects and analyzes valuable information (so-called alpha information) exchanged in private chats and closed groups and turns them into tradable knowledge in real time.It will be an InfoFi protocol that treats the information itself like a financial asset.
Specifically, private information streams provided by experts and influencers are tokenized in units called "Rooms," and users purchase "Key" tokens to access those Rooms.
AI agents constantly monitor the chat content in the background, filtering out the noise and extracting and summarizing the useful signals.The resulting curated information feeds (market insights, trading signals, etc.) are then provided to "Key" holders in real-time.Users can also receive notifications on the platform as needed, designed to help them make timely decisions.
In addition, Keys can be freely bought and sold, effectively treating them as assets whose prices fluctuate on the market.
In this way, "Backroom" seeks to realize a new ecosystem in which "those with the most valuable insights monetize them, and those who want them pay a price to obtain them" by tokenizing access to information and distributing them in the market.
In addition, a token called $ROOM is issued as the base token in the platform, which is used for all functions such as Key purchases, transactions, and reward payments for each Room.

Backroom is unique in that it combines "quality information provision" with "market-based incentives" by integrating AI and the token economy.
◼️AI-based noise reduction and signal extraction
We have developed and utilize a unique set of AI agents, which constantly analyze unstructured chat data in real-time.Agents are placed in specific conversations (Telegram, Discord groups, posts on X/Twitter, etc.) to detect important patterns such as token name mentions, market sentiment changes, trade predictions, etc.
The resulting signals are scored in two ways: quantitative (e.g., accuracy of predictions and impact on price changes) and qualitative (e.g., usefulness and depth of insight of the statements, market narrative = foresight of the narrative).
These scores are aggregated and displayed as a "reputation index" for each Room, allowing users to objectively understand which information sources are trustworthy.
In addition, the AI can compare the content of past chats with subsequent market trends, and annotate the content to indicate that "this was an important statement" even if there is no explicit mention of the issue.
In addition, the performance of each Room's signals (e.g., P&L = PnL of a virtual portfolio when following that information, ROI improvement of followers, etc.) is tracked, so it is possible to know if the information is really producing results.
This allows users to get only the essential information without the hassle of following a huge amount of chat.
◼️High incentive design for creators
What is attractive to information providers (Room openers) is the possibility of monetization without additional effort.
Since "Backroom's" AI automatically compiles information from creators' existing activities (such as chat rooms and SNS posts), there is no burden of writing new articles or managing a paid community.
The revenue opportunities are also multifaceted.First, creators themselves can hold a portion of the initial allocation of Keys issued at the time of Room opening, and benefit from the increase in value as Room popularity grows.
Second, a portion of the secondary distribution fee of the Key is returned to the creators as a source of funds (a certain percentage is allocated to the creators who issued the Key each time it is traded).
Third, a performance incentive is provided from the platform-wide supply of $ROOM tokens, with additional token rewards allocated to outstanding ROOMs (creators who are able to continuously provide useful signals).
◼️ User Benefits
The key price fluctuates with demand, so if you buy a key with a great Room early on and the Room becomes popular, you can sell it for a profit as the key price rises.If the room becomes popular, you can earn a profit from the sale of the room by increasing the key price.
The feeds provided themselves are also based on AI analysis, allowing for advanced filtering and alerts, for example, "only notifying signals with confidence scores above a certain level" or "issuing risk alerts when volatility increases.
In the future, there are plans for an agent function that will allow users to trigger these signals to automatically buy and sell, and advanced services such as AI automatically rebalancing assets and earning yields just by holding Key are also expected.
💧Token Economics and TGE Strategy
The "Backroom" described so far does not yet offer the mechanism described above.At the time of research, mid-June 2025, it is the TGE and token sales period for its proprietary token, $ROOM.
◼️$ROOM Tokenomics
Total supply is approximately 1 billion, with the following allocations.
The most characteristic allocations are "Genesis Sale," "Community Sale," and "Referral + Mindshare.This will be explained later in the TGE strategy.
Before that, we will introduce the $ROOM utility.
Access to Information$ROOM is used to issue or purchase Keys.No entry without $ROOM.
Trading PairsKey price is determined by demand through the AMM method curve.Key tokens are created in pairs with $ROOM.

◼️TGE Strategy
Next is the TGE strategy.I will explain the contents of "Genesis Sale", "Community Sale" and "Referral + Mindshare" that were in the allocations explained earlier.
(1) Genesis Sale
37.5% of $ROOM was sold through Virtual Protocol's Genesis Sale mechanism, with the Genesis Sale taking place on June 17, 2025, followed by the Community Sale on June 18, 2025, as described below.
Virtual Protocol's Genesis Sale, a mechanism introduced a few months ago, allows users to earn the right to purchase tokens based on points accumulated through activity on Virtual Protocol.This mechanism discourages instantaneous speculative activity and allows those who are continuously committed to Virtual Protocol to be eligible for the new token sale.
(The mechanics of this area are so interesting that I will write another article titled "All About Virtual Protocol" to summarize all the progress we have made in the last few months, including from the past.)
After finishing this Genesis Sale, I TGE'd and subsequently moved on to the "Community Sale".
(2) Community Sale
The sale was conducted as a blind price discovery auction on Backroom's official website, with 8% of the token supply sold up to the equivalent of $5 million FDV.
Participants committed funds in the range of 0.1 to 2 ETH, with a flat price based on the total amount raised after 24 hours.In the end, 78 ETH were collected and settled at FDV$2.43M.
(3) Referral + Mindshare
And beside these sales, the "Referral + Mindshare" campaign is running.There are referral links to entice people to the sale, to spread the word about the post, and there are also yapping rewards.This is how it works using Kaito AI, which evaluates and airdrops users who have made quality posts about Backroom.

Backroom plans to divide its development roadmap into three phases, Phase I-III.We are currently in Phase I (Token Genesis and Beta Launch), where the token launch and initial features are now available.

Execution Agent 2.0: A further advanced multi-strategy AI agent will be introduced.This is an advanced automated management agent that works with the on-chain DeFi protocol and can combine staking, yield farming, perpetual trading, and automatic portfolio rebalancing.It evolves from a mere information sharing platform to a comprehensive protocol that enables autonomous asset management based on information.
The above is the roadmap.There is no written timeline, but it is expected to develop over a span of several months.
💬Next generation project packed with trends
Finally, a summary and discussion.
Backroom is very interesting.It seems to be packed with quite a few recent trends.
First of all, as mentioned in the article, the TGE strategy is in line with recent trends with a two-step presale and Yapper rewards using Kaito.
The InfoFi system is also growing and is an interesting approach to adding value to information.Furthermore, we are looking at using AI to filter and edit information, and ultimately, automated transactions by AI agents that originate from the information.
I understand the concept and think it is a very interesting initiative.
If the information is collected by AI and sold by Key, which is defined as the final system, and Key holders can view the information, and if AI agents automatically buy and sell based on the information and performance evaluation occurs, we will be able to know who is really transmitting valuable information.
As I thought at the time of Polymarket, there is no way to verify false information transmitted on social networking sites today because attention is everything.And only the information that is passed around by attention is disseminated, and the facts are not known.
Polymarket is trying to solve the fact-checking challenge with its betting mechanism, and InfoFi like Backroom is also in agreement in trying to pin down correct and valuable information using financial elements.
I think this is an area that can only be done with blockchain, so I personally look for it to be the next area of mass adoption.
